Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) Clearances
The Electrical Safety Authority cannot proceed to complete electrical inspections until information has been provided confirming that a site building (residential, industrial, commercial, etc.) has been tested for asbestos containing materials, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 278/05, and that it will not be disturbed or that it will be properly removed. In order to demonstrate this a Designated Substance Survey (DSS) will be required. If a DSS cannot be provided the ESA requires confirmation that air quality at the Site meets occupational exposure limits. This can be done through an air quality test.
